JOHN J. SADZEWICZ AWARD

Award Overview

The John J. Sadzewicz Award recognizes outstanding contributions to safe public health practices, the use of proven new technologies, and sound operational approaches in achieving regulatory compliance and ensuring safe drinking water for the citizens of Ohio.

Consideration is intended first for individuals whose careers are in the public regulatory sector.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominee must:

Be a current Ohio Section AWWA member
Be recognized as a leader in the drinking water community
Demonstrate contributions in one or more of the following:

Proactive process improvements
Research or technological innovation
Leadership in achieving regulatory compliance
Development of policies or procedures based on sound science
Advancement of practical and effective industry solutions
Support for professional and public education

Nomination Requirements

Complete the online nomination form, which will include:

Eligibility confirmation
A detailed justification noting specific examples of innovation, regulatory leadership, process improvements, and contributions aligned with the selected criteria

Deadline & Presentation

Nominations must be submitted by April 15.

Presented at the OAWWA Member Appreciation Lunch during the One Water Conference on August 19. Recipients are also recognized in the fall issue of Waterfront and on the OAWWA LinkedIn page.
