OAWWA YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

Award Overview

The OAWWA Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding young professional who demonstrates leadership, initiative, and meaningful engagement in advancing the mission of the Ohio Section AWWA.

The award celebrates emerging professionals who contribute to the profession, strengthen member engagement, and represent the future of Ohio’s water community.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominee must:

  • Be a current Ohio Section AWWA member
  • Be 35 years of age or younger at the time of nomination
  • Demonstrate excellence in the following areas:
    • Leadership and initiative
    • Engagement in OAWWA and the profession
    • Innovation and forward-thinking contributions
    • Service, collaboration, and community impact
    • Professionalism and representation of Section values

Nomination Requirements

Complete the online nomination form, which will include:

  • Eligibility confirmation
  • A detailed justification noting specific examples of leadership, engagement, innovation, service, and professionalism aligned with the evaluation criteria

Deadline & Presentation

Nominations must be submitted by April 15.

Presented at the OAWWA Member Appreciation Lunch during the One Water Conference on August 19. Recipients are also recognized in the fall issue of Waterfront and on the OAWWA LinkedIn page.
